The supreme prayer of my heart is not to be learned, rich, famous, powerful, or good, but simply to be radiant. I desire to radiate health, cheerfulness, calm courage, and good will. I wish to live without hate, whim, jealousy, envy, fear. I wish to be simple, honest, frank, natural, clean in mind and clean in body, unaffected - as ready to say I do not know, if it be so, and to meet all men on an absolute equality - to face any obstacle and meet every difficulty unabashed and unafraid.
I wish others to live their lives, too - up to their highest, fullest, and best. To that end I pray that I may never meddle, interfere, dictate, give advice that is not wanted, or assist when my services are not needed. If I can help people, I'll do it by giving them a chance to help themselves; and if I can uplift or inspire, let it be by example, inference, and suggestion, rather than by injunction and dictation. That is to say, I desire to be radiant - to radiate life.
- Elbert Hubbard
American Writer & Philosopher, 1856-1915
When I look in the mirror, who do I see,
Standing there staring back at me?
Is is someone I know who soars like a dove
Or someone I feel not even God could love?
"What can I change?" I cry to myself.
To make me love ME ... take ME off the shelf.
The answer comes simply and so amazingly true,
It's turning my life over completely to You.
Lord help me to love myself as I am,
The person to whom was given The Lamb.
Help me to…

I had a great conversation tonight... that made me think of this poem....
A New Beginning
In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.
For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had…

hey Tricia. Happy 2012
Tricia,
Just wondering if the elevator has been fixed at the Ranch yet? You know, the one from the admin over to the house .... it never did seem to work properly?
If all goes according to plan I may be able to check it out later this evening .... chip day and can't think of a better place to receive it.
Hi Tricia,
Thanks for clarifying and so glad to hear it is you! Thanks for all of your help and support while at the Ranch!
I am getting in the groove and feeling great now that I am at home and nesting some more.
all the best,
buz
Hi Tricia,
Thanks for asking me to be a 'friend'. I gather you live in Edmonton which is not too far away from my home base of Calgary. I hope we can plan some sort of Ranch reunion in the not too distant future and perhaps that will lead to a personal meeting.
I just retired from 35 years in the oil patch so I am looking for my next adventure....one day at a time and one thing at a time. That is a really challenging concept for me but with the aid of the blog site and buddies, I know I will re successful.
Have a good one!

Hey Trish,
Things are going great for me. I am going to lots of meetings, getting outdoors kayaking, going to the gym and going to school. Just trying to keep as busy as possible. Talk to you later!
